As Southern Appalachian regional director for The Wilderness Society, Brent Martin has helped protect the region’s most dramatic and biologically diverse landscapes. As a poet and essayist, he explores the beauty of these wild places. He has also worked with the Armuchee Alliance, Georgia Forestwatch and the Land Trust for the Little Tennessee, and his efforts have led to restoration, recreation, protection and conservation of thousands of acres of public land throughout the Southeast.
