You may recognize Johnny Molloy’s name from the pages of Blue Ridge Outdoors „ as a Johnson City, Tennessee-based outdoor writer primarily focused on the southeastern United States, he has written articles for the magazine covering everything from actually appetizing backpacking foods to why he doesn’t want a trail name. However, his main prolific achievement can be seen in the 57 books he has authored on hiking, camping, paddling, fishing, true outdoor adventures and guides to public lands. Molloy’s website showcases the extent of his adventures and the resulting books and articles he has generated based on his journeys, through which he averages roughly six months of camping each year. When you can catch him, Molloy also gladly speaks on outdoor subjects tailored to each specific audience.
