Like many climbers, Jessa Goebel started in a gym at age 9, and she quickly propelled to the national and international competition circuit. In her late teens, however, she moved competing down on her priority list and bumped outdoor climbing up, and she shifted her focus to developing new routes for climbers throughout the southeast. She now lives and works in West Virginia’s New River Gorge and serves as an ambassador for Outdoor Research, La Sportiva and Petzl.
